Not that many people will see this, but, this post is just a quick recommendation of something I have recently purchased that I have found to be a really great product.
The product: A wearable heat pack.
The manufacturer: https://www.thespooniesociety.com.au/ - An Australian owned company that uses Australian lupins in their products, which are handmade in Melbourne, Victoria.
Get on board. I have, and I can honestly say, I have had relief from this product I haven't had with others. I don't consider myself to be a "Spoonie" as such, but as a person who suffers with chronic pain, I need help sometimes, and this product helps.

Recommendation.

I miss my cat.
I had to make the worst decision I've ever had to make in my life last Saturday, the 15th of July 2023.
My Harry had gotten sick overnight Thursday and Friday, and Saturday morning, he was really sick.
By 1pm, he went into a permanent sleep in my arms, and I am still devastated.
Coming home to nothing is just so wrong. I am lonely. I miss him.
I did decide to get him cremated, so, he will be coming home again in a week or so, and while it won't be the same, he will be home. I will have him with me again, and he will be able to go with me if I move house, and he will go with me when it's my time to go.
Goodbye, Harry.

Today, I took a step forward.
Today, I took a step forward. It might've even been a leap in fact, but, I'm being conservative and calling it a step, as for now, I don't know how big a step this actually is.
Today, I put my own hobby before someone else's.
Today, I didn't do something I didn't want to do, just because someone else nagged me to do it.
Today, I did what I wanted to do. For myself. By myself.
It feels kind of good, actually.

It's been a bad week.
This has not been a good week.
Just over four weeks ago, I had to take my cat to the vet due to a recent, but ongoing bout of night-time urinary incontinence.
I honestly can't be bothered rehashing everything, but, I only got the results of his tests TODAY, and found out that he has Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease. Now, that diagnosis covers a multitude of ailments, but, they are basically all diseases of the cat's urinary system. Kidneys, bladder, urinary tract, genitals... etc.
Anyway, my cat has got Feline Idiopathic Cystitis, one of those. It means he sometimes has trouble urinating, and sometimes he is incontinent. I've noticed for him it is more when he is asleep and really comfortable, because everything just relaxes, and it just happens. I don't think he even knows it's happening.
The best thing is, while it is very serious, I can help him by changing his diet. The vet recommended some "vet prescribed" cat food from Royal Canin, which is very expensive, BUT then he also said "Raw food", such as meat, fish, bones etc.
So, once I get my finances back up a bit, because the vet bill wiped out nearly half of my savings, I am going to get him some of this expensive cat food, and I will stock up with more and more cat-friendly meat too.
I got him some meat today at the IGA that was reduced in price because it was close to the best before date. If it smells weird, feels weird or looks weird, I won't give it to him, but, so far I have some beef stir-fry strips and some pork steaks for him that I have portioned up.
I am looking at getting some sealable plastic containers too, to store these portions in, as for now I am using plastic snack bags, and that will be an incredible waste over a long period of time. I'm no greenie, but it is ridiculous to use so many of these when I'm going to need to do this for a long time.
It's a really long story, but, I'm very angry at the vet, and unless it's really drastic, I won't be taking my cat back there. The trouble with living in a rural area, there are not a lot of choices.
Interesting times ahead, for both me and my cat. We will need a lot of luck.
