Pain, pain, go away. Reprise.

 Still in pain, but, thankfully not as much, and not as frequently. It's starting to become a damned nuisance though, not being able to do some things by myself.

I have to use crutches occasionally, and I'm not allowed to climb ladders, so I can't get up and close off the air-conditioner vents like I should. Mum helps me with the ladder, but I won't let her climb it because of her age, and because she is shit-scared of heights.

Might have to see if I can borrow my nephew one day.

On another note, my swimming lessons are going really well. A few weeks ago, I moved up to intermediate level, and my instructor says I've got skills, I just need to learn/train my body and my brain to put those skills together. It has been a lot of fun though, and I have gained a lot of confidence by doing these lessons, so it's been worth it. It has also not increased my pain as I was worried it might, so, once things really settle down, I'm hoping I can get into it a bit more freely and start seeing some real benefits in my health.

I've had a lot of very kind people encouraging me, and it's my goal to be able to swim the full length of the pool by the end of the year. Sure, it's only 25m long, but, for me, it might as well be 25km. I have been learning three strokes and techniques mainly, breast-stroke, freestyle and backstroke, so would like to go the full distance with each one. I can nearly do it with backstroke, but, not quite there yet.

Well, I've graduated from physio.
