After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, I ended up requesting an independent review to find out why my claims were not being accepted after the initial plan creation, and the renewal modification. Turns out, neither of those plans included the category I needed to have in that plan in order to access the assistance I needed to get the items I needed...
Long story short, the independent review added that category, I had all the testing re-done, I was able to choose colours!!, and then have the fitting for the moulds made before the aids arrived for me to be retested and fitted correctly.
A couple of adjustments over a couple of weeks, and these new hearing aids are pretty sweet. So much different to my old ones. It's amazing how quickly the technology becomes obsolete, and how much difference it makes to how you hear things, even in a short amount of time. I'm so happy.
My foot, leg, and my back are still aggravating, but, thankfully not nearly as badly as they were before I had the surgery, and I almost have full function back in my foot now. I still can't bend my toes though, and I still don't have correct sensations in both feet, moreso the left which was the injured one, but, again, I have improved.
I say that as I am having a day off work after a really uncomfortable night with my foot and my back, and woke up all snuffly and gross, but, I think I might've overdone it a bit yesterday without realising, and as for the snuffly and gross bit, it is winter. It's cold, and I don't like it. I should be right to go back tomorrow. I hope I am anyway.
Other than all that, I've not been doing anything really exciting, just building my models, and my Lego when I feel like it, and going out trainspotting when I can, and when the weather is bearable. I can't tolerate the cold at the moment, so looking forward to it warming up a tad. The crews are very friendly too, so that helps.
